The title of the book is so romantic which made me to buy it. The story revolves around the protagonists Meera and Arjun. Both of them are in their mid thirties and independent. Meera has her studio and a well established photographer while on the other hand Arjun has a digital platform. Both of them love travelling and they meet at Gokarna during travelling. Their path crosses many times as destiny wants to brought them together. Both started feeling for each other.

Read the book to know what happens next.

The cover of the book is aptly designed. The plot of the story is interesting, engaging and relatable. The author has very well narrated the story. The story totally relates to today's younger generation. Language used is simple and lucid. I liked the Hindi words and phrases used within. Characters are well developed and described by the author. The flow of the book is well paced but somewhat slow in starting.

Overall, a nice read.

Let's start!

First of all introduce yourself to our readers:
Hey guys, my name is Pranav Rao. I have written two novels thus far, A Tryst with Tristan and A Tale of Arranged Marriage. Apart from that, I am a Real Estate Developer, an Educationist and an Agriculturist. I enjoy cooking, reading books, binge watching a gripping series and playing FIFA on my PlayStation!

2 - Throw some light on your books 'A Tale Of Arranged Marriage' and 'A Tryst With Tristan':
Both the books are of different genres.
My first novel, A Tryst with Tristan is an erotica which started out as an experiment and culminated into a novel. It is a story of a guy trying to find love in the lap of lust.
Tristan, a not so regular guy in a regular fast paced city life, has conflicts with his emotions quite often. He finds solace in Hailey, his confidant and closest friend, who tries to help him bring balance in his life. After getting his heart broken, Tristan embarks on his journey with a firm belief to never get cheated on again and to find true everlasting love.
Will he find what he is looking for or is he destined for a lifetime of lustful dalliances?

My second book, A Tale of Arranged Marriage is a contemporary fiction and was released worldwide recently on the 15th of October 2021.
The book is based on Ayaan, the protagonist, who does not wish to get married. 
In his late twenties and a product of urban, upper-middle-class society, he’s had a comfortable life. Juggling his time between setting up his new business venture and lounging with friends—and frequent escapades with beautiful women and booze—life seems to be going well. 
Until one morning when his life hits a roadblock in the form of his overprotective, authoritative mother who only wants what’s best for her son. And this time, it’s in the form of marriage...arranged marriage. 
A reluctant Ayaan gets entangled in the frustrating and exhausting process of meeting women chosen by his determined mother, who refuses to stop till she has what she wants. 
Will Ayaan find his perfect match or does the universe have a different path laid out for him?

3 - Are both books of same genre or different?
     A Tryst with Tristan is an erotica while A Tale of Arranged Marriage is a contemporary fiction.

4 - Which genre you enjoyed writing the most?
      I enjoy writing in general, so I cannot say if I enjoyed writing one genre better than the other.

5 - Did you always want to become a writer?
      Well, I used to write poetry when I was in school. Some of the poems used to get published in the annual school magazines. But to be honest, I had started watching a series called Californication when I was in college and I found the protagonist, who is a writer in the series, to be really interesting. It was then that I used to joke around with my friends that it would be cool to become a writer!!! And a few years later, I found myself submitting my manuscript to various publishing houses.

6 - How do you handle negative feedbacks?
      I take them as a learning process. I am far from perfect and hence, getting different perspectives and viewpoints helps me understand the reader better which in turn helps me get better at writing. If the feedback is toxic and not negative, I simply discard it.

7 - Are you planning other books? How soon can your readers expect your next book?
     Yes, I am. I have a plot for a romance fiction in my mind as well as a book on philosophy. I guess I will finish the romance fiction first, which should be ready by next year.

8 - How has your journey as an author been so far?
      It has been fun and fulfilling to say the least. Writing is a form of meditation for me and it keeps me sane and happy. I had faced some typical ‘Indian Society’ flak after writing an erotica but that did not bother me at all. Other than that, it has been a gorgeous journey so far.

9 - Who is your favourite Indian and foreign author?
     Umm, favourite Indian author would be Salman Rushdie for sure. As for a foreign author, I absolutely love reading Bukowski. Other than that, I am a fan of Yuval Noah Harari and Robert Greene.

10 - Any message for your readers?
       For my readers, I would say that you should continue reading as much as possible and try different genres and subjects. Reading helps in shaping an individual a great deal and gives one so many different perspectives. It simply opens up so many worlds and such unfathomable wisdom and knowledge.

About the author -

Abhih Singh was born in 1984, at a Naval base in Cochin. He spent his early childhood in Port Blair wandering beaches and woods, went to a boys’ school in South Bombay, and attended university in Australia, attaining degrees in Liberal Arts and International Relations. His work experiences have been varied, ranging from office types to disc jockeying and handling produce. Over recent years he has lived in Bangalore in a building teeming with environmentalists and politically charged artist sorts, and in an old Portuguese house in Goa in the midst of snakes, dogs, and disappearing cats. 1) The cover of the book is captivating and the title is totally apt.
2) The plot of the story is good and intriguing which is inspired from the real life experiences of the author that makes it interesting. It is a perfect blend of romance, suspense, drama, twist and turns with a tinge of humor.
3) The plot has many sub plots which are very well wooven by the author but sometimes it gets bore due to too much technical words. The life of labor class is portrayed well. The story has two main plots - first about dam construction and other about terrorist plan to blow dam. The details of dam construction seems to be realistic.
4) The language used by the author is simple and easy to understand but Hindi and Malyalam words in between the dialogues is distracting.
5) The writing style of the author is good and mature.
6) There are large number of characters which makes it complex but details of each and every character is given properly.
7) The beauty of places like Kerela, Himachal etc is described so well that one can easily visualise it.
8) The flow of the book is slow paced due to which first half is somewhat boring but the mystery  keeps the readers hooked till the end.
9) Overall, a one time read.

Kochery C. Shibu is a retired naval officer. A graduate from the National Defence Academy he has held several important posts in the Indian Navy. Post his retirement he has executed hydroelectric projects in the Cauvery river basin in Karnataka, Beas river basin in Himachal and lately Teesta river basin in Sikkim. He holds a postgraduate degree in Defence Studies from Chennai University, and MA in English Literature from Pune University. Men and Dreams in the Dhauladhar is his debut novel. The technical content of the novel, namely the setting up of a hydro-project is drawn from his experience in these projects since 2005, as are many of the characters inspired from those whom he encountered at the project site. About the author -

Born in an army family, Rashmi pursued human resource for her higher education, along with labour law and labour welfare. Her professional training led her to work with an IT company for a few years, until she finally left for her love of music. Rashmi had also been training in music for many years. A couple of music albums, which were much appreciated, saw her as a full time artist thereafter.

An evolutionary disposition from the beginning had her writing quotable quotes about life from the tender age of 13. Dr Debraj Shome is a surgeon, specialising in facial plastic surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. He is the co-founder and director at The Esthetic Clinics, which has multiple centres across India. 8) The only thing which I didn't like about the book is it's length. Unnecessary details given could have been skipped.

About the author -

Bhavani Krishna is a freelancer based in Chennai. She holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Application after she quit her Medicine course. Her Dad is a poet and has written songs for Tamil movies (uncredited) and her Mom always motivated her to develop her writing skills. She is interested in reading short stories and poems for many years, and has decorated her book shelf with variety of books. She got the much-needed inspiration and motivation to write only because of her friends, mostly online ones. Their constant support urged her to write more and her poems got featured on many Instagram featuring pages.
