The story of 'Agnibaan' by S. Venkatesh revolves around a fire arrow (agnibaan) which need to be shifted from Egypt to India because the Dark order wants to get hold of it. The story sets up in  535 CE and ends in the present time. The place of story setting is ancient Egypt. At that time there two orders existed -

1. The order of the Guardians (protagonists)
2. The Dark order of Apep(antagonists)
Aphotep, a member of the order of the guardian comes to India with a package having secret.
And in the present day assassination of US presidential candidate takes place.

The cover of the book is aptly designed and eye catchy. The title of the book is relevant to the content. The plot of the story is interesting, engaging and thrilling. It is a perfect blend of mystery, thrill, adventure, action, past and present with lots of twist and turns. The author has perfectly woven the incidents of two eras and good and evil forces. The story also has the touch of science and mythology as it carries us across time and space.

The language used is simple and lucid. Characters are well developed and described by the author. Equal importance has been given to male and female protagonists. The flow of the book is well paced. Hats off to the author for his research work.

Overall, a captivating read.
