Book Review : The Travel in Between

Book Review : The Travel in Between

Title - The Travel In Between
Author - Chloe Stevenson
Genre - fiction
Pages - 203
Format - e-book

The story revolves around the protagonist Claire Baxter, a 26 years old lady. She engaged herself in travelling the world while her other friends were busy in making their careers, getting engaged and signing mortgages. She returned to her hometown without any degree or career. She felt that something left in life but one day by chance when she is in visit to her Nan she inherits her grandparents' 1968 Kombi Van Frank Glory.

Read the book to know more about the story of Claire and Frank.

The cover of the book is simple but totally apt. The title of the book is totally relevant to the content. The plot of the story is interesting  engaging and adventurous. It is a perfect blend of drama, romance, humour, adventure, family and friendship. The author has very well narrated everything in detail. Language used is simple and lucid. Characters are well developed and described by the author. I liked the character of Claire and his father Harvey.

The author has penned about those times when everyone question to oneself about his/her purpose in life. The flow of the book is well paced. But at some places it is too much dragged.

Overall, a light read.

Rating - 4.2/5

I recommend this book to everyone.
