Author Interview : Rajeev Kumar

Hello everyone,
Today I am going to introduce you to the author of 'Meri Arzoo'

Let's start!

1)      First of all introduce yourself to the readers.
I am Rajeev Kumar a budding writer and to manage my living I also work with a corporate sector. I am fond of reading suspense, thriller, and romance books in my free time. I am also a food loving person and spent my initial days working with different hotels and retail chain outlets. I feel words have so much power that it can change the path of anyone like for eg Shri Mad Bhagat Geeta It was words from Shri Krishna that Arjun was ready to fight battle against his own brothers and elders.

2)      What is 'Meri Aarzoo' about?
Meri Aaarzoo is about 13 stories which take you through different colors of life whether its happiness or sadness it is beautifully expressed and tries to bring liveliness in each and every character that anyone who reads would definitely be engaged and relate to.

3)      What prompted you to write short stories instead of a full length novel?
In a new age world where people are running behind chasing dreams and are engaged in a never ending rat race for survival pretending to be very busy. Now we see this as a trend: people instead of reading books or newspapers get their knowledge from Social Media in the form of short news short articles. Hence as a budding writer my main focus was to build a connection with the audience. Yes full length novel in my upcoming project.

4)      Are all the stories of the book the same genre or different?
Yes

5)      What is your writing process like?
I am a working professional, whatever time I get on weekends I use to write. it was not a continuous process. Some time I have to read the entire plot and again rethink the subject line.

6)      What do you like to do when you're not writing?
Cooking and reading.

7)      What does your family think of your writing?
They think it is a waste of time because instead of giving time to them I  am spending time in writing story.

8)      Who is your favorite Indian and foreign author?
Premchand, Ramamnanda sagar,  ved vyash

9)      What are your future plans? How soon can your readers expect your next book?
I will become a full time writer,  currently I have some other commitment . Currently I am writing Trishna , I think before Durga puja I will be able to complete it.

10)   What advice do you have for writers and readers?
Writers should not hold their emotion while writing thinking what readers like or dislike.  If we do so we are not giving justice to the story.
For readers They  have to just read and read ………….

Thanks for reading.
