Book Review : Murdrum - The Probe Begins

Title - Murdrum - The Probe Begins
Author - Dr. Sohil Makwana
Publisher - Notion Press
Genre - Scientific thriller
Pages - 281

The story starts with a very thrilling and exciting scene. A school boy Tapan on his way to home. When he tries to play football by kicking everything he finds a head of a woman.

In the parallel story Komal Rathod, a CBI aspirant assigned a work which doesn't excite her but during this work she knows about this murder. A serial killer is murdering pregnant women leaving his signature mark behind.

Read the book to know
Will Komal be able to solve the case?
What is the reason behind the serial killing?

The cover of the book is aptly designed and the title is totally relevant. The plot of the story is interesting and engaging. It is a perfect blend of crime, thrill, murder, mystery, psychology, forensic investigation and emotions. The author has very well narrated the story that it seems to be like watching a movie.

The language used is simple and lucid. Characters are well developed and described by the author. The interesting point is that the investigator himself has a disturbing childhood trauma and that helps her to solve the case. Hats off to the author for his research work. He explained each and everything about forensic investigation marvellously. The flow of the book is fast paced. The book ends with  an excitement.

Awaiting for its next part.

Overall, an eye opener mystery thriller.

Rating - 5/5

I recommend this book to all thriller lovers out there.

Thanks for reading.
